Ingredients
  

For the Noodles
  • 300 g Dried Ribbon Noodles Ramen can be used as a substitute.
For the Sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Cooking Oil Grapeseed oil is a great alternative.
  • 1/2 Cup Scallion Use the white part.
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic Opt for fresh garlic.
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Broth Choose low-sodium for a lighter flavor.
  • 2 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce High-quality soy sauce is recommended.
  • 1 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Chinese Black Vinegar Rice vinegar is a suitable substitute.
  • 1 Tbsp Korean Chili Powder/Flakes Adjust according to spice preference.
For Garnish
  • 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds Optional for added crunch.
  • More Chili Flakes Add for extra heat.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat a small frying pan over low heat. Add cooking oil, the white part of scallions, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly until fragrant and softened.
  2. Pour in vegetable broth, light and dark soy sauces, black vinegar, and Korean chili flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened and aromatic.
  3. Cook the dried noodles in a separate pot according to package instructions. Drain thoroughly once cooked.
  4. Add the drained noodles to the garlic chili sauce, stirring gently until well-coated. Serve hot, garnishing with green scallions, toasted sesame seeds, and extra chili flakes.
